Brand
Voxamine has two visual languages: the pixel-art geology of the world, and the futurist industry one person builds inside it. This wiki is the engineering notebook for that project, so its identity leans to the second language — precise, evidence-led, restrained. A lab manual, not a game splash.
Voxamine — one word, capital V, no space. vox (voice / voxel) + the -amine
of organic chemistry. The site is the Voxamine Wiki. The game’s internal
codename is Voxel Sandbox; that name stays in the repository, not on the wiki.
Never “VoxAmine”, “Voxamine™”, or “the Voxamine”. In running prose it takes no article: “Voxamine treats science as play.”
A conical flask on a deep-patina ground, its contents an ember. The flask is the wiki’s engineering side; the ember is blackbody heat — everything you engineer starts as something you heated. It reads at 16 px, so it works as a favicon and a header lockup.
- Keep the rounded-square ground. Do not stretch, recolour the flask, or rotate.
- Minimum size 16 px. Clear space on all sides ≥ ¼ of the mark’s width.
- On a photograph or busy field, keep the ground; never knock the flask out on its own at small sizes.
Colour
Section titled “Colour”The palette is small on purpose. Malachite is the through-line — the green rock you learn to recognise — and ember is its counterweight.

Hazard red (#b23b2e) is reserved for :::danger asides and nothing else.
Everything is defined as --vx-* tokens in src/styles/brand.css and mapped
onto Starlight’s own properties, so both themes and future upgrades stay
consistent. Use the tokens, not the hex values, in code.

Plex is a typeface designed for technical documentation; using it for both text and data keeps a balanced equation and the paragraph explaining it visually related. Both load from Google Fonts with a system fallback stack.
The getting-started guide states the editorial standard; the brand adds tone:
- Plain and exact. Short sentences. Name the mechanism. “Slaking is exothermic and fast” beats “the slaking process can be somewhat hazardous”.
- Evidence before claim. Say what was measured, calculated, inferred, or left unknown — never round an approximation up into a fact.
- No hype. This is a working wiki. No “revolutionary”, no “immersive”, no exclamation marks in body copy.
- The reader is an engineer. Assume competence; link the term rather than re-explaining it.
Applying it in the wiki
Section titled “Applying it in the wiki”- Evidence badge:
<span class="ev ev-measured">measured</span>(alsoev-calculated,ev-inferred,ev-unknown). - Colour chip:
<span class="swatch" style="--c:#0a7d70"></span>. - Balanced equations go in a plain fenced block (no language) — the stylesheet centres it and gives it an ember rule.
- Danger only for genuine lethal-hazard notes:
:::danger. Everything else is:::noteor:::caution.
